Spotlight on Criminal Minds’ Shemar Moore

Shemar Moore portrays FBI Agent Derek Morgan on Criminal Minds, and he’s had a few things to say in different interviews. Here are some revelations about Shemar and his work that are hidden behind his charming exterior:
         

• If he weren’t an actor, he’d be a baseball player.
• Some of his influences when he studied acting were Sidney Poitier and Anthony Hopkins.
• Unlike his character Morgan, Shemar says he’s not a big fan of guns and not that much of a hot head.
• Shemar says that Kirsten Vangsness, who portrays Penelope Garcia on Criminal Minds is a fun flirt!
• The Criminal Minds episode, Profiler, Profiled was a gift in more ways than one.
• He likes portraying the tough guy.
• His mother was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis years ago, which prompted him to get involved with the MS Bike Tour. He also wanted to give a voice to others who have MS.
