Needed More of Rob Morrow in “Bucket List”
Word is that Rob Morrow’s movie, The Bucket List has been making some
big “bucks” at the box office. The excited Morgan Freeman has been spotted on television talk, promoting the movie (from Letterman to The View and back again). Who knew there’d be this much humor in terminally ill cancer? Also, why wasn’t there more of Rob?
There are those movies we love, but the critics just seem to hate according to this LA Times review, and this one may not be the exception. For many, Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman on the big screen is an irresistible pair, in spite of the plot. (Just hearing Morgan’s voice as God gives some of us goose bumps) Some consensus is that movie reviews in themselves are over-rated, so I hope you do see this movie if you feel the desire.
My only beef is that there is not enough of Rob Morrow. Rob co-stars as Nicholson’s doctor. Another movie reviewer has even suggested that the movie may have been deliberately cut to give more leeway to the two stars. If the case, I don’t think it says anything bad about Rob, but more about the intent of the producers, and their possible plan to target this movie to older viewers. In any case, I gleefully look forward to Rob’s next project, and to seeing him each week in Numb3rs.
