Fringe Spoilers From Leaked J.J. Abrams’ Script
The latest spoilery info on J.J. Abrams’ Fringe reveals a lot of info about the initial story line. Fringe is the new Fox FBI drama with the sci-fi twist.
A man on a plane injects himself with a substance, and develops an airborne malady which causes his skin to melt while he’s on a plane. It soon spreads to everyone else there.
The lead FBI agent, Olivia Warren, is having a secret and inappropriate affair with John Scott, another FBI agent. The plane, full of dead people, lands, and Warren and Scott are on the scene. Warren is hated by the special agent in charge of the scene, Broyles, as one of her previous investigations sent his best friend to prison some time ago.
Warren and Scott work a related lead, which indicates a terrorist plot. They spot the guy who supposedly injected himself, (and was dead on the plane) try to track him, but end up near the middle of an explosion. Warren gets hospitalized, and Scott seems to be infected with a strange skin illness, and seems to be dying.
Warren plays Scooby and finds a link between the plane incident and a criminally insane scientist, Walter Bishop. Warren uses Bishop’s son to gain access to him in the mental ward.
Scott is somehow cured (not sure exactly), and while on the journey to cure him, Warren finds out there is special group of elite agents who investigate strange phenomena, led by Broyles, and he asks her and Scott to join, (along with the scientist and his son) and thus begins the team!
There is a difference between reading a leaked script, and actually watching the show, so I’m hoping it’s a bit different. There’s all sorts of other things I left out, such as Agent Warren going into a guy’s mind, and seeing his memories. There’s also the girl with the metal prosthetic or robot hand, with yet unexplained circumstances as to how she came to having it. I’m not sure if I want to know at this point.
I tend to see scripts as skeletons compared to the actual series being played out. Sometimes the success of a show can depend on the budget (particularly what they do with the budget), the actor availability, and other forces yet unseen. I’ll withhold my judgment for now, but I’m a little scared. Are you?

Well, I saw it and it was a really nice movie, anyway I’m not sure when the next episode will air.

i saw the episode too and the lady with the robot hand apparently had arm cancer and had to get it amputated. and i agree theres slight details missing in the plotline too noted by your summary that you did not know how john was cured…it was a blood transfusion (i dont know how that could really cure something that was infected with chemicals).
also, they showed the preview for the next upcoming episode which included a prostitute apparently having a mutated baby…im suggesting that maybe the man gave her something before impregnating her? again with a small detail missing, i dont really know but im still looking forward to watching it (:

The “cure” or antidote to the chemicals was diluted in Agents Scott’s own blood, and transfused because giving it to him directly would have overwhelmed his system and skilled him anyway.
As far as the mutated baby, those answers were given in the second episode.
