For a while I was reeling over the gads of rumors about the still Un-named X Files 2 sequel. I’m happy to report that there is some real news about this FBI drama film. It comes courtesy of X-Files creator Chris Carter, and Frank Spotnitz as they and others recently met at the Paley Television Festival.

Joe Mantegna (David Rossi) of Criminal Minds is set to star in David Mamet’s film, Redbelt, that will debut in April as a part of the Tribeca Film Festival. The film also stars Chiwetel Ejiofor, Emily Mortimer, Alison Braga and Tim Allen.

Yes, it really is true, A.J. Cook is pregnant. The Criminal Minds star who portrays J.J. is expecting a baby, and we’d like to wish her many congratulations.

In episode 4.14 of Numb3rs, titled Checkmate, Charlie, Amita, Larry and David help figure out a mystery that includes gangbangers, a young boy and the game of chess.
Charlie goes to FBI Boot Camp, and it seems he’ll be the predictable Charlie, cautious of his abilities at first, but in the end he is successful in his training. I wonder what this training will do for his relationship with Don.
Don becomes involved with a protected witness. An agent is stabbed when an intruder tries to take her life after Don leaves. I assume he is with her in a safe house.

Regarding Bones, TV Guide’s Ausiello has reported that Ryan O’Neal will be returning for one of the two post-strike episodes. He portrayed the character Max Keenan in at least 6 episodes, and his character is the father of Temperance and Russ Brennan. Bones airs on Mondays, at 8:00 PM on Fox and stars Emily Deschanel and David Boreanaz, pictured above.
