Numb3rs has released a casting call net for actors. What is needed are two African-American applicants. The first is for the role of a gangbanger in his late 20’s (named Reggie Smith) for an upcoming episode. It seems this character’s role is non-speaking, and the actor must be be able to look scared in a short chase scene before dying.
The second is for the role of a jailed gang mastermind, who will be required to play chess with a child, sending silent “hit” orders with each chess move. The call sheet says that the applicants for this role should …read more

Anytime a new crime drama comes along on HBO, it raises a few eyebrows, as HBO is known for airing high-quality original programming. David Milch (NYPD Blue, Deadwood) has created a new crime drama series called Last of The Ninth, which features the story of rampant NYPD corruption in the 1970s.

Dylan Bruno has been talking about the FBI drama Numb3rs. This season of Numb3rs is destined to be phenomenal! According to actor Dylan Bruno, executive director Tony Scott has been doing some work with Val Kilmer for the show amid the last six season episodes of Numb3rs being filmed.
We’ll also see more of the character’s backgrounds. Dylan revealed that he’s “interested” to see what happens with his character, Colby Granger. In his opinion, the background characterization is much more fun than “running around with the gun”.

In December I talked about Imagine TV/Brian Grazer’s project with Fox, The FBI. The latest news from Hollywood Reporter is not so good, as Fox has passed up this project.  Now, CBS and TNT are both interested in this new FBI drama, as it’s being shopped around to other networks. Fox paid a penalty by passing up this series, so it makes you wonder what went wrong.
What this means for us is a bit of a wait until one of these networks makes a decision. How …read more

Crime 360, A&E’s latest new investigative series airs again this week, on Thursday March 13, at 10:00 PM. One question in my mind in the beginning was how this marriage of good-old fashioned police work and computer-enhanced investigation would mix. After seeing the series premier, I was impressed with how quickly the support personnel collected the data from the scene that was later to be used for digitally reconstructing the crime. Overall, the show gives a sense of a crime unlike anything else on TV.

Fans of J.J. (A.J. Cook) from Criminal Minds should be pretty excited as new episodes are going to feature more about her, according to Kristin at E!Online.
I wonder, will she be kidnapped, or put in a position to solve a case? Although she enjoys being the team liaison, and choosing the cases they solve, is she hiding some secret that will come out in these episodes? Since she is a fully qualified federal agent, she could easily slip into the role of profiler. Perhaps she’ll find romance, and that would be a great spoiler for us.
