Numb3rs "When Worlds Collide" Review
In this fourth season finale of Numb3rs, Charlie’s colleague Phil is arrested and
suspected of being a terrorist operative. Both Don and Charlie see this case differently, and realize they have opposing ideas they must confront.
Megan announces she is leaving the bureau to counsel women in prison, and to finish her Doctorate. Dr. Larry was affected by her leaving, and I think even he was surprised by this.
This is by far one of the best episodes, if not the best. The case being investigated was full of surprises in that nothing was what it seemed. Also, each character was challenged in some way.
Because of fundamental differences, Charlie decides to do something that changes not only his life, but his relationship with Don, and the whole dynamic of the show. What? That’s what I said after seeing this episode.
Megan’s leaving was sad here. As she walked out of the building for the last time, with David and Colby carrying her things, she looks around and says “lets leave before I get silly”. I expected a finale scene with Don and Megan addressing her departure or good-bye scene, but no such luck. All I can say is that I can’t wait to see the next season.

The season finale was a good episode, the case had twists too it which is always good. I wish there had been a good-bye scene between Don and Megan, but I guess the writers couldn’t fit it in, especially considering Don and Charlie both had opposing views on the case through the entire run of the episode.
I was disappointed by the fact that they sent Megan to D.C. why couldn’t they have written it to where she stays in LA with Larry, and from time to time there would be a mention of her on-screen, like Larry’s out on a date with her or Larry tells the guys that Megan says hello. Those just examples that could of been used. I thought it was very sad to see the end of the Larry/Megan relationship.
Biggest shocker of all, Charlie being arrested just for taking a stand and helping a friend. I can’t wait for next season to see how this storyline ends, because you can’t have a show about Math and the FBI if the math genius loses his security clearance with the FBI
