Criminal Minds’ Gubler Portrays Serial Killer’s Apprentice
Matthew Gray Gubler’s new role as a serial killer in director Luke Ricci’s film has some of us wondering. An actor who portrays Dr. Spencer Reid, one of the country’s top criminal profilers on CBS’s Criminal Minds, has now turned completely to the dark side as his new character, an apprentice to a top notch serial killer, in the movie, How To Be a Serial Killer.
In the film, Gubler’s character, Bart, is trained by Mike (Dameon Clarke) “a charismatic young man” who has chosen a path of destruction by becoming a serial killer.
Although the title of this film is disturbing, consider that as FBI crime drama fans, we essentially watch the very lessons (although abbreviated) presented in this movie every week. Just the premise of this reminds me of a recent episode of Criminal Minds, in which Dr. Reid must profile a young killer who essentially had similar upbringing as Reid.
It was one of the most powerful episodes in my opinion. The film is in post-production status and will release this year according to IMDB, and we are indeed looking forward to Gubler’s performance!
