Top 7 FBI Movies - "Catch Me If You Can"

by Alexandra on June 2nd, 2008

Although there’s plenty to keep us busy at the box office with its array of dazzling films all summer, you may want to check out some of the FBI movies that are available right now. Among other topics, this week begins FBI Dramas’ series on The Top 7 FBI Movies You Need To See. Read my take on this movie after the trailer, and after the jump:

Today’s pick, and No. 7, is called Catch Me If You Can.

Seeing the talent of Tom Hanks and Leonardo DiCaprio together are enough to watch this movie, never mind the plot. OK, seriously, this film follows the adventures of a forger, scammer and overall imposter (DiCaprio) in the 1960s, and the FBI agent (Hanks) that tracks and captures him.

The relationship between these two guys is classic, and you may be amazed at what DiCaprio’s character is able to do. As an aside, the film is based on the true life story of Frank Abagnale Jr., who was responsible for passing bad checks worth 2.5 million in 26 countries.

This film has enough humor, and believability that will charm you. It was directed by Steven Spielberg, and also stars Jennifer Garner, and Christopher Walken as the father of the scammer. Ok, your turn…what did you think of this one?
