Mandy Patinkin… And His Beard At Tony Awards (Video)
Former Criminal Minds star, Mandy Patinkin was seen recently looking a bit dapper yet haggardly. Has he decided to give up shaving now? No, he actually grew the beard for an upcoming role as Prospero in “The Tempest”.
He was at the Tony Awards Red Carpet gala in Chicago, and noted he was also there to read Stephen Sondheim’s speech since the composer-lyricist would not be in attendance.
Patinkin was actually one of the many high-profile presenters for this year’s Tony Awards, as he was in company with David Hyde Pierce, Gabriel Byrne, Lily Tomlin, and Harry Connick Jr. among others.
So, here’s a clip from the 54th Tony Awards of a performance called The Wild Party with Mandy, Toni Colette, and Eartha Kitt. He is at the beginning of it, and if you watch his performance, you might find his voice a bit of a joy to listen to in this song.
