FBI Dramas First Look: "Eleventh Hour" Video
It seems CBS is dipping its proverbial toe into the crime drama meets weird science pool this fall with its new series, and Jerry Bruckheimer production, Eleventh Hour. Check out Rufus Sewell as Dr. Jacob hood in this clip.
Eleventh Hour follows the story of a government genius-level scientist, Dr. Jacob Hood (Rufus Sewell) recruited by the FBI to save others from fatal scientific experiments.
Marley Shelton (Grindhouse) portrays the character Rachel Young, his partner of sorts. Dr. Hood is more than a little obsessive about people misusing science for nefarious purposes.
It’s still too early to tell what genre the show falls into, especially with the science aspects. If some of the episodes have a “science gone wrong’ theme, it could easily fall into a sci-fi or horror sub-genre. Sounds exciting!
Hood’s character seems to have a bit of an eccentric air (don’t all brilliant scientists?), but his cool exterior seems to make up for it. After seeing the clip here, it almost reminded me of Charlie Eppes of Numb3rs explaining one of his math theories What do you think?
Written by Mick Davis, and directed by Danny Cannon, Eleventh Hour is based on a short British TV series by sci-fi scribe Stephen Gallagher. This new version is tapped for 13 episodes, and is set to premier on Thursday, October 9, on CBS.
