Numb3rs Casting News – Sophina Brown
Now that Diane Farr has left Numb3rs, it’s been reported that Sophina Brown (Shark) will fill the spot of Meghan Reeves as a junior agent. Her role will be a recurring one at first, and at some point she’ll possibly become a regular member of the cast.
Brown is no newbie to crime drama, as she’s been in episodes of Numb3rs (in one episode in 2005 as character Diana Styles), Without A Trace, and Law & Order.
Sophina seems to be a very well-rounded actress, as she’s done sketch comedy with funny guy David Chappelle, and her stint on Because I Said So in 2006. She hails from Saginaw, Michigan, and is an active theatre fan. You can read more about her in an interview she did with Kam Williams.
Having a new character brings in all sorts of new possibilities. Do the Numb3rs writers wish to continue having romance plotlines in the series, and does Sophina’s character fall into that realm? I can’t wait to see this.
