You’re Not Crazy…It’s Just "Fringe"

In case you’ve been hearing strange messages from your radio today, and just thought it was the voices in your head, it may be some creative advertising from Fox and J.J. Abrams from the Fringe.

Check out Fox’s (or J.J. Abram’s) latest attempt to play with our heads after the jump:

So far, I haven’t heard any of these messages but think it’s pretty cool for ad executives to think so creatively. Not to be a sourpuss, but most times, if I hear a radio commercial, I generally either change the channel or drown it out, so sadly, I may have missed a few. Guess we’ll have to listen out to get the full effect.

It’s very Orwellian in a way, and the messages remind me of how a certain computer programmer received some cryptic messages on his computer monitor (Keanu Reeves in The Matrix). Only, instead of us asking “What is the Matrix?”, we’re wondering what this mysterious “pattern” could be.

The campaign includes online messages on unrelated consumer web sites that will lead back to Fringe in some way, Wow, all I can say is Go Fox!

Oh, don’t worry, you can listen to the messages in the player above, courtesy of Hollywood Reporter, and check with them for the actual web sites that have the “imagine the possibilities ads.
