"Numb3rs" Gets Back Its Top Sniper: Lou Diamond Phillips
As if the new season of Numb3rs could not be more exciting, Lou Diamond Phillips will return as the FBI’s 4th best sniper in the US. His character is that of Ian Edgerton. Check out this video snippet of Edgerton saving Charlie Eppes (David Krumholtz) from a dangerous situation.
Lou Diamond Phillips first appeared on the series in an episode, called Sniper Zero, and has been cast in every season except this last one (due to his filming schedule). It’s unknown now what his character will be bringing to the new season. Some things we do know are that Edgerton clashed with Charlie in the past, and has been known to possibly use borderline torture and force to gain information from a suspect.
Serious Numb3rs fans must look forward to having Phillips back in this role, as he has always been a fan of of the character, and the show. If you’d like to check out the Numb3rs episodes that really feature Edgerton, They are called Two Daughters and Pandora’s Box, both from season 3.
