"Without A Trace" Stars Are Sweet On NY
Without A Trace’s Poppy Montgomery and Eric Close both have a healthy appreciation for the beauty of New York. They’ve made some comments recently about how much they enjoy filming the show on location in New York.
Because the story setting of Trace’s Missing Persons Bureau is in New York, the production company has to pick up and move a couple of times a year to the Big Apple.
This is when the magic begins. So what are the favorite filming spots for these two actors, and what makes it so special ?
Eric Close names the city bridges, and notes that the timing is also a part of the appeal. He reveals he loves the bridges at night. Times Square and Central Park are also favorites, as he says, …”But when you come to New York, you want to see the buildings and architecture.”
Close notes just how cool New Yorkers are when it comes to filming. He says, “In Los Angeles, people expect to see actors, so they’re more mellow about it. Here, people have a good passion about things and tell you how they feel, which I like.” Montgomery notes that there is an energy she gets from New Yorkers, and says it unlike anything she’s felt in Los Angeles. Sounds like the Big Chill has definitely made an impression on these two.
