Anna Torv’s "Fringe" Stardom
Fox’s Fringe star Anna Torv is flying by the seat of her pants. Being an 
action star has its perks, and Torv has jumped in on both feet.
Fringe’s latest episode pulled in more viewers than its debut week, and Torv says she and the cast are always on a “need to know” basis when it comes to the story. This is not unusual when you know that sneaky showrunner J.J. Abrams is involved.
In a recent interview, the beautiful Anna Torv does reveal some goods, such as what it’s like being an action star, living in NY, and adjusting to American television.
This Australian star, who some say looks just like Cate Blanchett, had mere days to begin preparation for being an American TV star, after being chosen for the role. According to Alex Kurtzman, Fringe’s co-creator, Anna was chosen three days before the scheduled production date of the pilot.
I encourage you to read the complete interview. Her comments about having to get a visa, get to NY, and finding an apartment reminds me of a scene from the popular reality TV show, The Amazing Race.
So what’s next for Ms. Torv? She finished a role in the Spielberg/Hanks HBO war story called The Pacific, and beyond that, she seems to be all Fringe.
