Marianne Jean-Baptist looked stunning when she attended the Los Angeles premiere for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button this month.

As noted this is nothing new, except what was once just a few foreign actors has now become a boatload. The reason behind the shift is economics, but as viewers, we just simply enjoy our stars.

So let’s see who some of these FBI drama stars are, what we like about them, and who is our favorite?

Anna Torv of Fringe – As Agent Olivia Dunham, she lends a fresh face to Fox’s new season line-up. She was born in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Notably, other foreign stars of Fringe include Joshua Jackson, and John Noble.

Anthony LaPaglia of Without A Trace - Portrays Senior Agent Jack Malone, leader of the New York Missing Persons Squad of the FBI. He was born in Adelaide, Australia, and lives in Los Angeles.

Poppy Montgomery of Without A Trace – As Agent Samantha Spade, she adds to the team’s success with her complex approach to investigation. She was born in Sydney, Australia, and lives in Los Angeles.

Marianne Jean-Baptiste of Without A Trace – She has a special insight into victim’s families. She was born in London, and lives in London and Los Angeles.

Other Crime Drama Stars We Love

Rufus Sewell of Eleventh Hour – Portrays a biophysicist and special science advisor to the government. He was born in Twickenham, England, and was raised in Wales and London, where he currently resides.

Simon Baker of The Mentalist - He portrays Patrick Jane, a man who uses his sharp skills of observation to solve crimes for the California Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

Most of the cast of Flashpoint – This series is inspired by Toronto’s Emergency Task Force, and portrays the stories of a highly-skilled tactical team. Stars include Enrico Colantoni, Hugh Dillon, and Amy Jo Johnson.

Last night’s episode of Without A Trace, titled Lost Boy, was the Season six opener, and a tense episode about a Sudanese boy who goes missing from the home of his adoptive celebrity parents. More images from this episode follow below.

I’m not normally a fan of episodes that seem to be grabbed from true life crimes or news headlines, but this episode was indeed interesting. Agent Malone worked the case of the missing boy, while Agent Johnson continued investigating the case from Season 5. She soon had the help of Agent Mars (James Marsters), pictured above.

Lost Boy also starred Vanessa Britting (The Young And the Restless, Numb3rs), Brian Bloom (Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, The Golden Compass) and Tamara Braun (CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Days of Our Lives).

Of these actors, Brian Bloom’s acting credits are particularly diverse, as he has credits for some voice roles, in addition to television and film. I have even seen him in this really cool car commercial, called Graduate. He did a great job of portraying the somewhat clueless dad of the missing boy.

Lost Boy had some interesting twists and turns. You can see a fan video here of the Jack and Sam centric scenes as well.

Someone once said that there is still no cure for the common birthday! We’ve got some important FBI drama birthdays this month. We wish a Happy Belated birthday to Peter MacNicol of Numb3rs for April 10.

Shemar Moore of Criminal Minds celebrates his birthday on April 20. Wouldn’t it be nice if he went back to Monte Carlo for his special day.

Last but not least, Marianne Jean-Baptiste of Without a Trace celebrates her birthday on April 26. Happy Birthday to you all from FBI Dramas!

I think having Jack’s injuries go to this level is more than appropriate because it seems he has always wanted to give anything to help the young victim he saved in the trafficking case (from a previous episode). Even when he wakes up in the hospital, you can feel the remorse he has for his actions (going off alone) and taking the blame by saying that he gave Viv orders.

Weaving in the plot of the parents of the Jenkins boy, their anger and grief, and their other son’s (Timmy) guilt was superb. In my opinion, this brought what could have been an average case to a much higher level. Danny did a great job questioning Kelli (Diana’s hapless friend), and Elena was great working with Martin in this case.

The real highlight besides Jack waking up in the hospital was Sam having coffee with her baby Daddy, Brian Donovan. I still look at his character, and just wonder, how did Sam fall into that spider web? If Sam and Brian are supposed to be a mismatched couple, then they are doing an excellent job in their portrayals. Sam seems a lot more grounded than Brian.  Overall, another amazing episode, and it ended perfectly with Vivian at Jack’s bedside reading out loud from a magazine.
