Brooding, deep-thinking, recently divorced, and available? He may be the type of guy you want to literally “save” because he’s so serious. Married to his job, he stayed with the BAU against his wife’s wishes and his family paid the price.

Supervisory Special Agent David Rossi (Joe Mantegna)

This seasoned founder of the BAU might never have realized the impact of what he began so many years ago. Although he has quite a few fans between his books, and FBI standing, Agent Rossi has yet to have a real love interest on the show. Until then, Agent Rossi continues to charm us with his special wit and deep insight. He stepped back onto the scene in Season 3 to solve the mystery of a case that had gone unsolved for 20 years (Episode 11 – Birthright).

Supervisory Special Agent Derek Morgan (Shemar Moore)

Strong yet caring, Agent Morgan knows his speciality, and how to take the tough guys down. Agent Morgan has a black belt in Judo and formerly served on a bomb squad unit when he was a Chicago police officer. Will he have a chance at heading up his own field office? We’ll have to see what the next season brings.

Supervisory Special Agent Dr. Spencer Reed (Matthew Gray Gubler)

He’s the loveable geek, full of facts, and sometimes shy specialist who lives and breathes criminal analysis. Although we know he’s had few romantic encounters, we’re hoping love comes his way. Dr. Reid is the resident genius, holding PhDs in Chemistry, Engineering and Mathematics. He also holds BAs in Psychology and Sociology.

This week’s episode of Criminal Minds is a special rebroadcast called 52 Pickup. Agents Prentiss (Paget Brewster) and Todd (Meta Golding) go undercover to profile a serial killer, or pick-up artist, who uses skills of persuasion to lure women into danger. This is a very creepy episode.

Some of the highlights include a witness who has the guts to call Agent Morgan an alpha-male baldy, and make a scary come-on to Agent Prentiss in the same interview. This may be the first time I’ve seen Agent Hotchner (Thomas Gibson) peeved with one of his team members this season, as Agent Todd illustrates she might say anything to get a witness to open up.

Guest stars include Riki Lindhome, Keri Lynn Pratt, and Jake Newton. The episode airs on Wednesday, April 15, at 9:00 PM ET on CBS.

One of the scarier aspects of this episode is that it’s about a guy who basically uses persuasion to lure victims. It’s been said that persuasion is the most researched skill, and in this case, it can be the most dangerous.

Knowing which TV shows people watch is extremely important, not just to advertisers, but to viewers and networks. Nielsen’s research is also used by networks to determine which shows to cancel. Although I’ve heard rumors of Without A Trace being on the bubble, I doubt any of these series are being targeted for cancellation anytime soon.

The BAU team travels to South Padre, Texas to investigate deaths of students who are being targeted by a serial killer while on Spring Break. Twilight Times has some images of Rathbone on the set with Shemar Moore and Matthew Gray Gubler.

Author Pat Bertram recently guest blogged at Criminal Minds At Work, and she explains a bit about sociopaths, what makes them so charming, and how anyone (maybe even you) can be a sociopath and not even realize it.

Please say it ain’t so! Star Magazine is reporting that Thomas Gibson who portrays Agent Hotchner on Criminal Minds, recently threw a temper tantrum on set last month. Word is he kept hearing an unusual noise while filming a scene with Matthew Gray Gubler. The star became upset, then had a few choice words (profanity) for the crew. Later it was determined the sound was from water dropping from a rooftop. OK, I’m not too happy to hear this, but we know for sure that celebs are just like us, having bad days, and all that comes with them.

Check out where some of our favorite FBI drama stars are when they’re not on set!  Criminal Minds star Matthew Gray Gubler gets under the microscope – for sleep’s sake. Shemar Moore and Thomas Gibson share their favorite vacation spots, Navi Rawat has a guide for tripping through Miami, and Eric Close and wife head to South America for what else? Wine of course!

Matthew Gray Gubler took part in what has been called the Sleeping Beauty boot camp, but is actually a promotion sponsored jointly by the Ritz Carlton Berlin and the sleep lab at Berlin’s Charite University.

Judging from the pictures, and the “rigorous” ordeal they put Gubler through, it all leaves me wanting special comfy socks, eyeshades, wine tasting, and even the 30 minute workout that President Barack Obama recently had at that same hotel’s spa. See all the pictures here.

Shemar Moore isn’t shy about confessing his love for Montreal and Toronto. He says to talk to him in a few years about Honolulu, Bora Bora, and the South of France. Sounds like he’s ready for some new adventures.

Thomas Gibson says that Italy is the place to be, and reveals he was so impressed by a little town called Ravello, in Florence, that he’s invested in a real pizza oven, and soon “pizza making” classes for his house in L.A.

Finally, Numb3rs star Navi Rawat gives the what-what on where to do (stuff), dine, and shop in the hot city of Miami. If you’re heading to Miami, check out Navi’s guide here.

When asked his most memorable moment while being in Chile, Without a Trace’s Eric Close says it’s when they rode horses up to a high mountain meadow resting at the peak of the Andes mountains. You can read rest of his interview here.

If you’re like me, you might find yourself waiting peacefully in front of the TV for Santa on Wednesday, December 24, and I can think of no better Wednesday crime drama than the Criminal Minds‘ episode, The Crossing, which airs at 9:00 PM on CBS. Pictured above are A.J. Cook and Shemar Moore.

The Crossing involves a stalker who has crossed state lines to pursue his latest obsession, a young woman who may end up as the next victim.

Also, Hotchner and Rossi investigate whether a woman who has killed her husband and claimed battered woman-syndrome is telling the truth, or simply getting away with murder.

Speaking of Christmas, A.J. Cook, who portrays J.J. got a nice early gift this year (in September), her son, Mekhai Allan Andersen. Official word is that she’ll be back on Criminal Minds full-time in February, in episode number 14.

Many fans miss their favorite non-profiler, and are even hoping her character gets a lot more action in the field this season when she gets back in February.

Since I’m not a cyclist, I don’t profess to know what a sissy bike is, but Moore says according to some of his Criminal Minds friends, his first bike, a hybrid, was just that, and is a far cry from his now 15 lb. carbon bike.

Every year, he and the CR team ride the SoCal MS 150. He also rides his bike an average of 300 miles per week.

Interestingly, Moore says he gets no love from some L.A. drivers when commuting, as they just see him as a man in tights when he’s out on the road, but he takes it all in stride.

He explains what it’s like to ride in L.A. by saying, “Lots of drivers here get irritated, so I ride in heavily trafficked areas only when I have to. Because I’m a man in tights, people call me…not such nice names. What’s funny is a lot of times I catch them at a red light. You pull up, and they try to ignore you because they feel stupid”.

He also mentions how he feels about the lack of pro African-American road cyclists, and says the biggest challenge for him in cycling was getting used to the saddle. For now, all we ask is for you folks in L.A. to please be nice to Shemar!

This weeks new episode of Criminal Minds, Brothers In Arms, features Agent Morgan (Shemar Moore). He served as a police officer in a bomb squad unit with the Chicago Police Department before he came to the FBI.

This time, a serial killer is is specifically focusing on members of the police force in Phoenix, AZ. The intentional shooting of a police officer obviously has an affect on the overall morale of the team, so this will likely be a very tense episode as Morgan helps to solve this case.

Most police officers take the job because they’re sincere in wanting to protect and serve their community, so having an unsub hunting them adds a lot of pressure to solve the case, as officers are in many respects the guardian angels of the city streets. The portrayal of this situation is likely to be intense and real.

Guest stars include Joe Regalbuto (Ghosts Whisperer, The Dark Horse), Mark Pellegrino (Prison Break, Numb3rs), Guillermo Diaz, and Bo Foxworth (33 Griffin Lane, Crossing The Line).

According to the latest press release, the show’s opener debuted, and exceeded last year’s season opener ratings. They rated No. 1 in households on Wednesday, September 24.

From 9:15-10:15 PM, CRIMINAL MINDS (P) won its time slot in households (10.5/16), viewers (17.01m), adults 25-54 (6.3/14) and adults 18-49 (4.7/12).  Compared to CRIMINAL MINDS season premiere last year (on 9/26/07), CBS was up +28% in households (from 8.2/13), +40% in adults 25-54 (from 4.5/11), +34% in adults 18-49 (from 3.5/09) and added +4.30m viewers (from 12.71m, +34%).

In this episode, someone died as promised, and there was truly mayhem in that someone else almost died. Interestingly,  the writers still delivered with a scary but sweet moment for Garcia (Kirsten Vangsness).This episode left us with some questions…about Morgan (Shemar Moore), Prentiss (Paget Brewster), and Hotchner (Thomas Gibson). Here’s hoping next week fills in for us.

Criminal Mind’s Season 4 premiere, Mayhem, is tonight

Shemar Moore recently talked to TV Guide, and shared as best he could…without giving too much away. For those fans who have already either figured out or read spoilers about tonight’s premier episode, Mayhem, the interview is still quite revealing.

Moore describes the premiere as “phenomenal”. He also reveals that at the time the season finale was filmed, no one on set knew who was in the blown up SUV. He also talks about how the characters have their own identities, as their character’s personalities have been explored a bit more, compared to some of the earlier seasons.

In tonight’s premiere, 2 team members are injured, and the team hunts for the terrorists who are planning a much larger attack on the city. The episode includes guest stars Sienna Guillory, Michael Steger, Jack McGee, and Lisa Bartleby.
