I had to laugh because in the official preview, it says “Alex O’Loughlin is back…”. Ha! CBS knows they should have kept Moonlight, and if I were them, I’d soak up as much O’Loughlin/Moonlight magic as possible. I bet there are a bunch of Mick St. John fans ready to pounce on this episode of CR!

Season 5 of The Closer begins in June, and the beginning episodes will feature Brenda (Kyra Sedgwick) being “unwillingly” assisted by a detective named Dick Tracy. I have to admit, I’m more excited about that intense arsonist, Billy Croelick (Jason O’Mara) being back, because he seems to rattle Brenda so!

On NCIS, Tony and Ziva’s relationship is about to evolve. May 19 is the season finale, and the “fans will decide” something that will “carry over” to the summer according to NCIS Executive Producer Shane Brennan. Sounds like this is something that fans have been waiting for. So what was all those quips about between these two all this time, sexual tension?

On 24, although fans are still mourning the death of Larry, Chloe (Mary Lynn Rajskub) is back and will be making some important decisions after hearing about Bill.

I read a few weeks ago that Fringe will be be moving all its production from New York to Vancouver in light of the end of tax breaks for the production company. No sweat…I’m sure they’ll do an excellent job of making the show still look like a fictitious Boston.

Also for those wondering about Season 2, Kirk Acevedo (Agent Harris) reveals he was just on set filming a Fringe stand-alone episode that airs for Season 2! You can read his interview here at Fringe Television. One is an FBI drama created by Criminal Minds’ creator Ed Bernero, and the other? It’s a spin-off of the crime procedural, NCIS. Read more about the CBS crime drama newbies.

Washington Field comes from Ed Bernero, producer and creator of Criminal Minds. The series, done with the FBI’s stamp of approval, is named after the FBI’s Washington field office.

It’s said the office contains the National Capitol Response Squad – a team of elite experts with different types of expertise, who respond to events related to U.S. national interests. Related events? Types of expertise? This sounds just shady enough to have all sorts of plot possibilities.

Two brothers, (Jim and Tim Clemente) one a real FBI profiler, and the other a former terrorism expert wrote this script along with Bernero, which elevates this one high in the realism category.

The yet unnamed NCIS spin-off has been OKd and will feature a team of naval investigators. THR reports Chris O’Donnell (pictured above) is tapped for the lead agent, Callen. Hip-Hop star and actor LL Cool J, the beautiful Louise Lombard, Daniela Ruah, and Peter Cambor include the amazing cast.

Although there has been some criticism about the need for an NCIS spin-off, you have to consider that with a criminal procedural this good, there’s always room for spin-offs.

So far, this is how the series is filling out:

Lombard – Female lead named Clara, sharp investigator and former major in the military police

Cool J – Investigator named Sam; still seeking details on this role

Cambor – Operational psychologist named Nate who acts as the team’s conscious

Ruah – The eager student of criminology and forensics named Kensi

Image: Newscom

Post from: FBI Dramas

Best Crime Drama On TV Tonight: Fringe, "Mentalist", NCIS, "Homeland Security"

Anna Torv

FBI Drama Programs

FBI Drama Stars

Fringe

General Crime Drama

Joshua Jackson

Lance Reddick

NCIS

anna torv

fox

Homeland Security USA

joshua jackson

lance reddick

ncis

simon baker

the mentalist

From a strange case of human skulls, a mysterious suicide on NCIS, to a new airborne disaster on Fringe, getting your crime drama fix will be quite easy tonight. They seem to have an assortment of explanations. I wonder if they’ll use the old ” oh it’s not my money…” excuse.

NCIS – 8:00 PM CBS

NCIS has been described as a spin-off the series, JAG. It follows the criminal investigations of Navy and Marine personnel that are handled by their own, the NCIS.

On Agent Afloat, the NCIS crew investigate a mysterious suicide aboard an aircraft carrier, and it seems to lead to a bigger crime.

The Mentalist – 9:00 PM CBS

Simon Baker portrays the “psychic” who is now an investigator for the CBI (California Bureau of Investigation), and uses powerful skills of observation to solve crimes.

On this episode, called Flame Red, three National Guard vets are murdered, and Jane sets out to prove that one vet who survived is the killer.

Fringe – 9:00 PM FOX (New Episode)

Of course, I’ve saved the best for last, and yes, I’d definitely watch this FBI drama with sci-fi elements, and record The Mentalist for later.

Tonight’s Fringe is a new episode called The Transformation, which deals with Peter and Olivia going undercover to investigate a new airborne disaster.
