Fox has announced its 2009-2010 midseason line-up and, and it includes 2 new unique crime related action dramas.

One series stars Fringe’s Mark Valley as an unusual private contractor who works to keep his clients alive.
The other series (Past Life) pairs an NYPD detective and a gifted psychologist (Kelli Giddish, seen here) who work to solve crimes that must be solved in the present and past(?). Are we talking time travel here, or past lives?

Jerry Bruckheimer, creator of crime dramas CSI and Without A Trace, has reportedly become a willing accomplice in Cocaine Cowboys, a new HBO drama about the Miami drug trade in the 1980s. Bruckheimer is teaming with director Michael Bay for this series, based on a documentary written by Billy Corben.
So hasn’t this already been done, you may ask, with the old TV series, Miami Vice? Well, maybe, but HBO is known for its original and gritty programming. This series may prove to be Miami Vice on speed.

The UK "Law & Order" ?

ITV has plans for a British version of the American TV crime drama, Law & Order. Will it be as wildly popular as our version, or the successful spin-off, Law & Order: SVU, which stars Mariska Hargitay?
The stars tapped for the series are Battlestar Galactica’s Jamie Barber and Coronation Street’s Bradley Walsh. I’m not sure that I’m too excited about another Law & Order, however, this 13 episode series with the promise of Dr. Who/Torchwood talent, Freema Agyeman, as prosecutor, lends some excitement to the premise.
