These two FBI agents have a special place in many hearts. Amid the big screen excitement as theatres are buzzing from the thrills of other summer blockbusters, nothing seems to be more exciting than the debut for The X-Files: I Want To Believe for FBI drama and sci-fi fans.
Check out these amazing production stills for the film, which releases in just a few weeks on July 25:

The X-Files Special: I Want To Believe…In FBI Comic Drama

There’s more X-Files goodness for us in July. Not only will we have the big screen version of The X-Files: I Want To Believe, but the comic adventure, called The X-Files Special, set for a July 23 release, two days before the movie release. OK, this is not a comic version of the movie, but something even better for hardcore fans of the TV series.
What’s different about this comic is that it heralds the movie release, and gives the fans a bit of something extra in the Mulder and Scully mythology.

Finally…Real "X-Files" Spoilers From Chris Carter

Finally…Real "X-Files" Spoilers From Chris Carter

For a while I was reeling over the gads of rumors about the still Un-named X Files 2 sequel. I’m happy to report that there is some real news about this FBI drama film. It comes courtesy of X-Files creator Chris Carter, and Frank Spotnitz as they and others recently met at the Paley Television Festival.

The film “takes place in the present”, and the “sprawling alien mythology” is not part of the plot, according to Carter. He also said that Fox has ideas on what …read more

X-Files 2 At Wondercon Updates

X-Files 2 At Wondercon Updates

At Wondercon 2008, David Duchovny says he was feeling the pressure while filming scenes with Gillian Anderson during the new X-Files movie. He infers that expectations are high of those scenes, and indications are that he does not want to let down the Mulder & Scully fans of the latest XF2 movie.
This and other info came out as Duchovny, Gillian Anderson, Chris Carter and Frank Spotnitz spoke at Wondercon about our favorite FBI drama.
A trailer was shown which features a chase scene with Billy Connolly’s character, Mulder, Scully and Amanda Peet’s character (whom we now know as Agent Dakota …read more

X-Files 2 Updates: Our Favorite FBI Assistant Director Is Back?

X-Files 2 Updates: Our Favorite FBI Assistant Director Is Back?

More X-Files 2 news has surfaced. Mitch Pileggi, aka Assistant Director Skinner is reportedly back for the latest sequel set to premier in July. We know that he’s been working on Stargate Atlantis, and even a few other TV shows such as Reaper, and (in voice only) on the animated series, The Batman. However, we don’t know yet how much of him we’ll see in the movie.
I think many just don’t care, and want to see Skinner back. Some of the best FBI drama of the series was the episodes that featured Skinner, and his run-ins with the …read more

X-Files Movie 2 Updates

X-Files Movie 2 Updates

David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson are scheduled to appear at Wondercon this month on February 22 through 24 promoting the X-Files Movie 2.
As for rumors, it’s been suggested that the werewolf head picture was a fake to mislead us. Also, pre-production of the movie began in early August, instead of November. What this means for us? Maybe there’s more work done than we realize, which can make for an even better film.

Xzibit Get’s Personal About The Untitled X-Files Project

I wanted to post these pictures of Xzibit last month, but then we didn’t have the scoop we do now, which is courtesy of the man himself in his own personal blog. He gets personal about this FBI drama, particularly on what happened when he found out he’d gotten the role.
He talks about how the WGA Strike stopped his Oliver Stone Pinkville project cold, how much he enjoyed talking with Chris Carter, and particularly how cold it was (and still is) in Canada right now. He also mentioned that Billy Connolly (Lemony Snicket, The Last Samurai) is a part of the cast.

Untitled X-Files Updates Are Getting “Beastly”

Rumors abound, but there are some updates on the latest Untitled X-Files project. Despite the gauntlet of secrecy that still has a tight hold on this sequel, the project has garnered discussions ranging from whether Assistant Director Skinner will be back, to if Amanda Peet will portray a love interest in the story. It looks like the juicy details on the actual FBI drama part may have to wait until we get much closer to the July premiere.
There’s even been some pictures circulating that depict a wolf head on the production set.  You can see the photo below and draw your own …read more

Stills From Latest X-Files Movie & Trivia

Stills From Latest X-Files Movie & Trivia

Here are some stills of David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson in the Untitled X-Files project slated for this summer. Seeing these brings back memories of the TV series, so I’ve included a bit of FBI trivia here as well.

When Chris Carter began his idea of The X-Files, he wanted to present FBI agents investigating paranormal events, but felt the beliefs of the characters were key to the success of the plot as well.

Some shows that were spinoffs of The X-Files were Millennium, The Lone Gunman and Harsh Realm. All of these shows referenced each other.

A basic premise of the show …read more

More X-Files Movie Cast Info

There’s more details on the new X-Files movie cast roll. Besides Amanda Peet, comedian Billy Connolly (Open Season, The Last Samurai), and West Coast rapper and actor, Xzibit (Derailed, Pinkville) have joined the cast. What you may not know is that Xzibit and Peet will portray FBI agents.
The info leaked about this movie has been pretty consistent as far as the fact that it will be a stand-alone film, not a sequel to the first. Does this mean there’s no chance of any romance between Scully and Mulder? Will Skinner be back, and will this be business as usual for …read more
