In this week’s episode of The Beast, Barker (Patrick Swayze) goes undercover in his old cover, Apache, to infiltrate a group of Latin drug dealers who are involved in the disappearance of a fellow agent. Lou Diamond Phillips guest stars as Capone, an undercover DEA agent who has been in deep cover for 4 years. In this short video above is a preview of Capone that features Lou Diamond Phillips.

After watching Patrick Swayze and Travis Fimmel on A&E’s new FBI drama series, The Beast, I left feeling a little beat down, only because there are many elements present in the story that we’ve seen in other crime drama series. Fans of Patrick Swayze and A&E take heart, as his FBI drama, The Beast, is set to begin production this month despite his cancer. Swayze, his doctors and the network have full confidence in the actor’s abilities.
Pancreatic cancer is a serious condition, but it seems Swayze, with the help of his doctors (and probably a lot of fan prayers) have put him in a favorable position to stem the tide.

A&E Network has announced they are launching a scripted series early in 2009, and Patrick Swayze’s Beast is one of the top contenders. When I read that, I had to do a double-take! One of the top contenders?
The other top contender is called Danny Fricke, starring Connie Nielsen (pictured right below). Danny Fricke follows a tough female detective who deals with sexists co-workers as she investigates high-profile cases.

It contains clips from his funny appearance on Saturday Night Live, one from Oprah, and more importantly, clips from his movies, such as Ghost, Dirty Dancing, and Roadhouse. Patrick also talks about his bout with alcoholism a few years ago in a previous interview. We are desperately looking forward to his new role in The Beast.

 Patrick Swayze’s new FBI drama pilot, The Beast is still being considered by The A&E Network in spite of reports that Patrick has been battling pancreatic cancer. According to his physician, Dr. George Fisher, “Patrick has a very limited amount of the disease”. He also says that Swayze has been responding well to the treatments.
