Crime Drama Emmy Nominations, Anyone?

Crime Drama Emmy Nominations, Anyone?

In spite of the success of FBI and general crime dramas, there seems to be very little love for these type shows in the 2008 Primetime Emmy Nominations lineup. I’m sure all the other nominations are highly well-deserved (such as Andromeda Strain and John Adams in “Outstanding Miniseries”).
The category for “Outstanding Actress, Drama” has the most crime drama representation. I don’t profess to know how series/films/actors are chosen for the Emmy nominations, but I do admit I’m a bit disappointed. Below are the names of the actresses up for nomination for their respected shows in this category:

"Fringe" Getting All-Eyes View Via BitTorrent

Well, here we go again….with the leaking. I recall fondly how some time back, the premier episode of Fox’s Terminator series was leaked, and we had those amazing screenshots…ahem!…those were the days!
Seems someone has leaked Fox’s premiere episode of Fringe a few days ago, for all the world to see, according to Hollywood Reporter, and I am not complaining.  Many believe that this is Fox’s attempt to draw in the audience and “up the buzz”.
So far, the reviews seem to be mixed, and for me, the leak is no surprise. This was exactly how I found another favorite TV …read more

Top 7 FBI Movies: The Wrap-Up

Here are the final three for my list of Top 7 FBI movies!

No. 3 – Mississippi Burning
Mississippi Burning is based on a real investigation into the murders of civil rights workers in the 1960s. Two FBI agents are both up against the silence of a southern community, as well as each other, as they differ in their investigative approach.
Acting powerhouses Gene Hackman and Willem Dafoe portray the agents. The film received Academy awards for cinematography and acting (Gene Hackman) among others. It also received some critical huff from many, including historians. Unfortunately, this can happen when you create a …read more

Criminal Minds "Lo-Fi" Review

Criminal Minds "Lo-Fi" Review

I should have known this episode would be pretty big. The team heads to NY, Garcia gets to go, and a strange pattern of killings? Yes, it was big. Tonight’s third season finale of Criminal Minds was no letdown. It delivered with a face pace, high stakes for everyone, and some truths that finally got their due. For my review of Lo-Fi and possible spoilers, read more after the jump.
