Some Without A Trace fans are none-too-happy about the focus of the series, with one even calling it The Jack Malone show. Here’s a video featuring Agent Malone as he playfully teases Agent Spade, and gives his new boss (Steven Weber) a frosty reception in a new season episode:

Midseason programming changes are coming, and here’s a look at the possible line-ups for our favorite FBI and general crime drama series. The networks have not released their official line-ups yet, but it’s so much fun to speculate.
Of course we expect that on CBS, Without A Trace, Criminal Minds and Numb3rs will continue its success on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday nights respectively. Notably, Criminal Minds and Numb3rs have both had some amazing guest stars, and we look forward to more of the same.

Without A Trace star Poppy Montgomery has a few things to say about priorities. This FBI drama star recently told People Magazine that bad hair days are no longer a worry for her, since the birth of her sweet son, Jackson.
No, she hasn’t discovered some new hair miracle, unless you call baby slobber a new hair conditioner. It’s all about priorities. Also check out a fan video that features Montgomery and her boyfriend, Adam Kaufman. The song is called Secret Smile by Rascal Flatts.
In the interview, she says that being a mom has changed her priorities completely. Her son Jackson was born last December to her and boyfriend Kaufman. According to the interview, Kaufman is an awesome dad, as she notes that he is “…so hands-on and patient” when it comes to their cooing bundle of joy.
Of course, the next logical question is whether these two lovebirds are going to be married. When asked, Poppy did a good job of possibly skirting the issue by saying “why not?”.

Don’t forget to catch Criminal Minds’ Joe Mantegna on The Starter Wife tonight (10:00 PM - USA), as he portrays Lou Manahan, suitor to Debra Messing’s character, Molly Kagen. Pictured above are Mantegna as Lou Manahan, and Jane Leeves as Alizee Dufresne. This is from a previous episode in which he guest starred.
Ever since word of this came in July, we knew they had something special planned for his character. In the preview below, it seems that Mantegna’s character is going to propose to her (??). His character is known as being a powerful man, who befriends Molly, and they develop a very interesting relationship over a period of time.
The Starter Wife is the story of Molly, who is the former wife of a TV executive, and she’s trying to create a life for herself as a writer, and single mom to a seven year old. However she is still a part of the wacky world of the film industry. Add to this her recovering alcoholic best friend, gay designer friend, and a slight attraction to her ex-husband, who still aggravates her, and you have a delightful show that’s full of surprises.
The Starter Wife airs on USA on Fridays at 10:00PM.

FBI Drama and Bones star David Boreanaz is gracing the cover of Draft Magazine for the November/December 2008 issue. He gives a great interview in which he talks about being a Pittsburgh Steelers ball boy, a love for hockey, and of course, being a beer enthusiast.
When asked about directing, he says that he loves it, noting, “I just enjoy being both in front of and behind the camera, producing, directing.” He had the opportunity to direct an episode of Bones, and it was obviously a treat. Boreanaz also co-produced at least 18 episodes of the series. Here he’s pictured with actor Emily Deschanel.
Now that he’s a dad, Boreanaz indicates he has a perspective on what the driving age should be, and he says, “Being a parent now, I tend to lean more towards the 21 age.”
On Bones, Boreanaz portrays the cocky Special Agent Seeley Booth, partner to the cynical anthropologist, Dr. Temperance “Bones” Brennan (Emily Deschanel). To read more of David’s quotes, you can get snippets here at ImNotObsessed, or the full interview on the newsstands.
The series Bones airs on Wednesdays at 8PM on Fox, and read more about Bones here at FBI Dramas.

If you’ve been wondering where CBS’s summer hit crime drama, Flashpoint went, there’s no cause for alarm. Flashpoint was renewed by CBS in September, and they’ve ordered 13 new episodes scheduled to air in the summer of 2009. If you missed this amazing crime drama, check out the video promo here:
Simulcast in the US and Canada, Flashpoint was a top scripted original series, and averaged 7.73 million viewers during the summer, winning its time period against non-Olympic competition.
Flashpoint tells the story of a group of cops who are part of a highly skilled tactical police unit, the Strategic Response Unit. Their daily lives are filled with risks, as they take on hostage rescues, gang busts, and defusing live bombs. The series stars include Enrico Colantoni, Hugh Dillon, Amy Jo Johnson, and David Paetkau.
Although the show is currently not on CBS’ fall schedule, it will be back as a summer hit. Matt Roush at TV Guide answered a fan’s question about the series in August. Though he isn’t a big fan of the show, he did note the series has done well enough that it could even show up again mid-season if another show fails. For now, we wait for Flashpoint to heat up our summer!
Update: The series is scheduled for 2009, and we assume it will be back in the summer since it began as a summer series.

In a recent article, it was noted that many of our favorite prime time TV stars are non-American. Looking over the list, many of them are some of our favorite FBI drama stars.
As noted this is nothing new, except what was once just a few foreign actors has now become a boatload. The reason behind the shift is economics, but as viewers, we just simply enjoy our stars.
So let’s see who some of these FBI drama stars are, what we like about them, and who is our favorite?
