According to Matt Mitovich, the latest season finale will be 2 hours long, and the case will the toughest one yet for the BAU to crack. A cliffhanger will once again set the tone.

So another explosion is probably out of the question. Will one of the team really die this time? Sounds like we might get a tougher finale. Last season we had one team member thinking of leaving to head up the New York office, a pregnancy, and we learned that Agent Hotchner had an admirer. The biggest thing of course was the possible death of a team member.

What do you think will make this finale the most interesting? An unsub comes back to start more murders? The death of a BAU team member? Is someone going to transfer to Washington Field? Is Garcia going to get married? What would you like to see in the finale?

Author Pat Bertram recently guest blogged at Criminal Minds At Work, and she explains a bit about sociopaths, what makes them so charming, and how anyone (maybe even you) can be a sociopath and not even realize it.

Please say it ain’t so! Star Magazine is reporting that Thomas Gibson who portrays Agent Hotchner on Criminal Minds, recently threw a temper tantrum on set last month. Word is he kept hearing an unusual noise while filming a scene with Matthew Gray Gubler. The star became upset, then had a few choice words (profanity) for the crew. Later it was determined the sound was from water dropping from a rooftop. OK, I’m not too happy to hear this, but we know for sure that celebs are just like us, having bad days, and all that comes with them.

One fan asked TV Guide’s Mitovich if Agents Hotcher (Thomas Gibson) and Prentiss (Paget Brewster) will become a couple at some point. This is a logical question since these two have a bit of history …of sorts. He met her though a security clearance process for her mother, who is an Ambassador. It was noted these two have had some good scenes together this season.

Prentiss reported to Hotchner when she first came to work at the BAU, as you can see in their “first meeting” in this short video. Talk about uncomfortable moments.

So far, the closest the writers have come to couplehood on Criminal Minds is a secret affair (that led to a pregnancy) between Jennifer Jareau and Detective LaMontagne, a New Orleans investigator. Sure this is nothing to sneeze at, but this hasn’t satisfied the fan’s need for two BAU members to get closer.

So what’s the verdict for these two as as far as becoming couple-like? Later this season, Hotchner will support Prentiss regarding a case that is very personal to her, which will bring them closer. We’ll learn more about her life as a teenager, including some revelations about a past romance.
